Sunshade shop curtain
The sunshade shop curtain was installed as a signboard of this hotel in 2002. It was originally used to keep out of the sun. Since the Edo period (17th ~19th centuries) people began to use it as "the face of a store." Hopefully our sunshade shop curtain will be of something pleasant to look back on your holidays in Sendai.

The style of a tea-ceremony house method
Our inn was remodeled in 2001. The entrance hall was designed in the style of a tea-ceremony house.

 

 

Brand rice
We are always taking care with the quality of rice.Every year, we rush about on our "rice," looking for quality, delicious rice. Visiting farmhouses here and there in Miyagi Prefecture, one of the most famous quality rice-producing districts, is time-consuming but it is a rewarding job indeed.How about savoring the blessings of nature both at breakfast and dinner?We are very happy to serving our guests with this blessing of nature every day.

虹は風と雨と太陽が作り出す光景。この日は朝から天気が変わりやすく、雨と晴れとの繰り返し。雲間からひとすじの光り、夕陽が稲穂を黄金色に照らした。田園の実りを祝福するかのごとく現れた虹は、よく見るとその外縁にさらなる虹をともなっている。

今回、いこい荘に虹の写真を提供して頂いた杉山さんは、宮城県北部、とくに石巻地方や北上川流域の「ふるさとの風景」をテーマに写真を撮っています。
